The Intertube Junction Box Is Now Fully Teabagged
As you may or may not have noticed, the DNS propagation is complete and teamteabag.com is now fully functional. Today is a big day, because it marks the day when this site is officially launched. Basically, if you’ve been here before today, you’ve been an unwitting beta tester for the site – because that’s how TTB rolls, baby.
So, what’s new behind the scenes?
- We have the Google XML Sitemaps plugin running, which is regularly building sitemaps of the site and submitting them to Google, Ask, and Yahoo. That means that we should appear on these, and in turn, the other major search engines pretty quickly and get some traffic to the site.
- The Gravatar system seems to be working well, so we’ll stick with it. Remember to sign up for your Gravatar!
- We now have a working submission form for post ideas and a page which introduces us a bit. The content on there is a bit lame, though, so it’ll probably be updated in due course.
- All the RSS feeds are now running through Feedburner. For those not familiar with Feedburner, they are a service which formats and re-shapes feeds to make them more user-friendly, and they also supply statistics (to us) on how many people are reading the feeds. If you’ve subscribed to the old feeds, you’ll need to do it again to make sure you get the new and improved Feedburner feeds. The process for signing up is still the same (that’s the box to the right under the gamercards, or the feed icon in the address bar).
- Finally, we also now have a favicon. It’s a little picture of a teabag and should appear in the address bar, on the feeds, and in your bookmarks when you bookmark the site. Which you will…
I think that should about do it for now. Enjoy TTB, and look forward to many exciting posts and great new features in future! Not bad for something we only came up with on Wednesday, huh?

There we go. I made a default Gravatar for people without one, too.
Congratulations! How exciting, a new site to read which bears a textual resemblance to another but without all that Linux stuff that I didn’t understand.
You’re all linked up from linkage too, plus if you’re nice to me and send me tea, or a free mug, or tea in a free mug, then I might corporately whore you out a bit more. Still, looks excellent to me. I shall now peruse and comment.
I assume that my Gravatar only works when the comment is moderated. Otherwise I’m mighty confused, boy, and I ain’t one too happy about being mighty confused…
I am confused. Did you use the same email address you always use? It’s based on your email address, you see. Your comments didn’t seem to need moderating either…
P.S. Woo wah wah woo woo wah wah woo.
…P.P.S. That was supposed to be the theme from “The Twilight Zone”.
