All The Ladies Love Nolan And His Big ‘Stick
This is one big Atari joystick, almost as big as Atari were in their day. For evermore their lovely, rubbery joystick design will be universally regarded as a classic gaming icon, so what more fitting tribute than to make a hella huge version for the world to enjoy?
This model measures 5ft high, and was built for the i am 8 bit gaming art show in LA by talented artist Jason Torchinsky. But the best part? Thanks to the electronic wonders of “five switches made from screws and aluminum flashing, bungie cord springing, and a golf ball”, this joystick actually works. I can so see myself playing E.T. with this thing.
