Just Don’t Mention The Cake
Over on GamesRadar there’s a fascinating story on why Portal, in my opinion the best part of the best game of the year (The Orange Box), is the closest thing ever to a “perfect” game. GamesRadar’s editor goes on to explain how elements such as story, sound, visuals, crazy ideas, and replayability are all executed so well that this game may indeed be the holy grail, the 10/10, the best game ever made – in a word: perfect.
Do I agree?
Well yes, yes I do – hence I’m sitting here writing this.

I also have to say it is one of the greatest games ever! In fact i’m just going to have to play it now!
I might have a crack at that final advanced level tonight. If I’m not too busy sleeping, that is. Me so sleepy!
Yea those advanced levels are tough little cookies! It took me quite a while this afternoon to do the fourth one with all those gun turrets in cages and in the end i think it was complete spawn that i made it, in my oh bollocks to it frantic dash and a large amount of hoping and praying!
It certainly is! Although I found that slowly moving a huge pile of companion cubes around with me helped a lot.
Why ain’t you signed in properly boyo? Or is this thing playing up again?
No it was my bad i was using someone elses computer and couldn’t be arsed to sign in!
