DS Getting Flooded With Crappy Games, 1983 All Over Again?

Anyone who was around and buying games in 1983 will probably remember the huge video game market crash of that year… Something that ruined the games industry for a few years and nearly wiped Atari off the map. Those who weren’t, like me (I missed it by a year) are probably going to experience another one for themselves anyway, if Street Fighter II, Gyruss, and Time Pilot creator Yoshiki Okamoto is to be believed.
This time, however, it’s not a huge glut of poor quality Atari 2600 games that’s to blame, but games for Nintendo’s DS, and more specifically those in the Japanese market. If Okamoto is to be believed, Nintendo need to do something about the situation before Japanese buyers lose faith in the system and stop buying games altogether.
Crazy stuff I know, but this guy knows the industry inside and out so it’s hard not to listen to him.
