R2-D2 Projector Is Totally Geek-Pimp

Author: SmellyGeekBoy | Date: May 2, 2008

This (officially-licensed, might I add) R2-D2 projector from Nikko is now available from the Star Wars Shop. It features an iPod dock, CD/DVD support, MP3 and MP4 playback, internal 20 watt stereo speaker system, inputs for other video sources, Dolby Digital 5.1 output, a remote control in the shape of the Millennium Falcon, and a 1024×768 resolution. Phew!

Not only that, but it does an assload of other totally pimp stuff which you’ll need to watch the video to really appreciate. The R2 projector is available now for $2,995.

Oh Roy! That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! It might even be worth selling a kidney for.

This has been Firebox for a while. I might have ordered one recently too….

I thought that was pre-order only? It’s only just been released!

Looks like you’ll be getting it on May 20th anyway. It’s a total waste of 2 grand, but I’m sure it’ll be worth a lot more in 30 years’ time.

Totally is, but it’ll look so awesome.
