Codemasters have announced that they’ll be offering two very generous prizes for the fastest racers in their new Race Driver: GRID demo. Depending on whether you’re in the US or the UK, you can enter one of two time trials with a chance to win a real-life car - with US gamers being offered a Ford Mustang GT, and UK hopefuls being given the chance to live out their sales rep dreams in a BMW 3 Series.
To be in with a chance of winning, it’s simply a case of beating the world record lap time on one of the selected time trials. In the US this is the San Francisco eBay Motors Muscle Cup - unlock your unique code, enter it at the Codemasters web site to submit your lap time, and the 5 fastest will be whisked away to the launch party in San Francisco.
In the UK, you can obtain your code by beating the world record time on the Jarama track in the European Touring Cars Time Trial. Unfortunately you can’t download both demos and enter twice, as you’ll get found out and spanked big time. It’s just a shame that the eventual winners probably won’t even be old enough to drive.
Still, they can always cash in on eBay motors…
