Buy Our Laptop – It Supports Ubuntu!
Author: Rees | Date: May 27, 2008
Check out this laptop from UK-based PC manufacturer Novatech. Not only is £249.99 a very nice price, but it seems that they’re also using its Ubuntu compatibility as a selling point – in fact, they’ll even sell you one ready for the popular open source OS for £249.99, which is a whole £110 cheaper than buying it with XP Professional preinstalled.
The spec’s actually pretty impressive for the price too, with a Celeron Mobile 1.7GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 120GB HDD, a DVD writer, and a 1280×800 15.4″ widescreen display. Having bought PCs from Novatech before, I can also confirm that their prices are very competitive and their customer service excellent, so I have no problems linking to this.
