Geometry Wars 2 Achievements Reveal New Game Modes

Inside MGC have obtained a list of achievements for the upcoming XBLA shape-shooting sequel Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, and they say a lot about what we can expect from the game. The achievements specifically mention game modes called Waves, Slalom, King, Deadline, and Pacifism, as well as collectable items known as “geoms”.

Nothing else is known about the game, so of course the goals of the different game modes are as yet unknown, but I’m guessing that Waves is pretty much the same game we saw in PGR4, Slalom is a mode which involves passing through gates, and King (and this one’s a long shot) could be similar to the Halo “king” games, where the player must stay in certain areas to capture them.

Pacifism, I am guessing again, will expand on the well-known “Pacifist” achievement form the first Geometry Wars game, and is a mode which involves surviving for as long as possible without shooting anything. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but it’s fun to speculate.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
