Mozilla Sets World Download Record!

Author: SmellyGeekBoy | Date: July 2, 2008

We Did Our Bit - Did You?

Remember a while back when The Mozilla Foundation announced that they’d be going for the world download record with the release of Firefox 3?

Well, they’ve gone and done it - with over 8 million unique downloads on launch day, Firefox 3 has earned Mozilla a Guinnes World Record for “the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours”. That means that there are now over 180 million Firefox users spread across 230 countries.

Oh, you can also make your very own personalised certificate to celebrate your involvement in this momentous occasion!
