Introducing The Classic Mac Art Of Satta van Daal
Author: Rees
Satta van Daal is a German street artist living in Melbourne, Australia. While he’s not out stencilling people’s rubbish, he’s working on his next big project – an art installation known as iPaint myMac, and as you can see from the pictures, this guy’s work is pretty damn impressive.
Above we have a Mac Plus painted up to look like the classic Happy Mac startup icon, and below there’s an Apple LC II stencilled with the iconic image of Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs working on the first Apple computer in 1976.

van Daal also has t-shirts available to buy, as well as his very own website detailing his other works here. Well worth a visit if you’re into classic computing stuff, and even moreso if you appreciate good street art.
I think we’ll finish on this rather colourful PowerBook 100, one of my personal favourites.

He’s also looking at acquiring any other old Macs that people may have lying about. I think shipping from the UK would be a little too much, but perhaps you can help out if you’re in the Melbourne area?

Thanks for the plug mate!
It will probably take another 2 years until the ‘iPaint myMac’ expo will surface … stay in the loop on my flickr stream or sign up to the newsletter on my website.
Cheers,
