Duke Nukem 3D Coming To XBLA?

Now here’s an interesting little rumour… These screenshots from Joystiq purportedly show Duke Nukem 3D installed on an Xbox 360 dev console, presumably for testing prior to a full-blown Xbox Live Arcade release. It would make sense that DN3D would be coming to XBLA, considering that Duke Nukem Forever is supposedly going to be released some time soon, and it seems like maybe this could be a big announcement for Microsoft at this year’s E3… Just as they announced DOOM to a shocked and surprised audience at X06.

Of course, these “leaked” shots could also be some good Photoshop jobs – especially as the first screen seems to suggest that the game supports the Xbox Live Vision Camera, and I can’t work out exactly why it would need to. If they are real, however, it’s pretty exciting news, especially as the achievements page specifically mentions co-op support – meaning that deathmatch mode will almost certainly be making a comeback, too.
Here’s hoping that these are more than just some cheesy mockup… I think pretty much everyone is looking forward to getting their Xbox Live enabled Duke on!
