More XBLA Portal Details Revealed, Also TF2 DLC & Achievements

It seems like Portal: Still Alive, which was announced as an Xbox 360 exclusive at E3, is actually just a re-release of the original game with a few extra bits and bobs thrown in. The reason?
“It’s just a series of new challenges … another way for people to experience Portal, without having to buy the full Orange Box.”
Says Valve’s Doug Lambardi. Sounds like a pretty good reason to me, and even if there are only 10 extra levels I’ll be buying it anyway, despite the fact that I’ve completed the game more than once already. Any extra content would be a bonus, and it’s a good excuse to have another playthrough of one of the best games ever made.
They’ve also announced that the new challenges won’t have any GLaDOS voiceover however, and won’t be jammed into the original storyline as they don’t want to mess it up. In an unrelated note he added, interestingly, that they’re still committed to the 360, and still indifferent to the Wii and PS3. I guess that means no PSN / VC release, then.
Finally, there’s some interesting news on the TF2 DLC and achievements that have been popping up on the PC version. As we predicted back in May, the achievements will be making their way to the 360, and it was hinted at that they’ll be bundled with the new map too.
