Final Fantasy VII Coming to PSN & XBLA?

Author: OwningXylophone | Date: July 23, 2008

The latest rumors doing the rounds regarding Square Enix’s big announcement about Final Fantasy VII at their upcoming ‘DKE3713′ event suggest that the possibly the greatest JRPG of all time (FF7) will be getting a release on both XBLA and the PSN in its full original glory.  If it happens then it would be quite a coup, as how many of the mini-games currently available on the 2 networks offer the 30 hours plus of game this would be?  In fact, how many retail games still offer that kind of playability these days?

This is not the only rumor doing the rounds however, as the word on the grapevine is that FFVII will be getting a full HD remake for release as a full retail title exclusively for the PS3, however, if the last few weeks have taught us anything it’s that exclusives are only exclusive until they hit another platform…  Here’s looking at you Bioshock & FFXIII!

All will be revealed at Square’s private ‘DKE3713′ event in Tokyo on the 2-3rd August.
