Today MTV announced that they would be bringing AC/DC’s awesome 1991 album ‘Live at Donington’ to Rock Band in November in all its 18 track glory this November in the US and December for the EU and Australia for all versions of the game, that means the Wii and PS2 are getting in on this one too…
The pack will not be available as a digital download though, instead it is being offered as a physical stand alone disc which can be played standalone. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will include a digital transfer code to allow you to save the songs to your consoles hard drive for use in Rock Band 1 & 2.
Codemasters and FRONT Magazine team up for stunning new Rise Of The Argonauts imagery, featuring Alex Sim-Wise, former Cyber Girl of the Year
Codemasters, a leading publisher of videogames, has blurred the line between fantastic videogaming and fantasy girls, with a stunning new collaboration with FRONT Magazine and its resident siren Alex Sim-Wise.
Rise of the Argonauts is the forthcoming action role-playing game developed by Liquid Entertainment. The game features all the greatest heroes from Greek mythology – though FRONT magazine has taken this even further by introducing MySpace’s favourite female as a new virtual heroine.
In a special six-page feature published in this month’s FRONT magazine (out today), Alex Sim-Wise is transformed into a real “God of Phwoar” – bestowed with the ability to cast fire from her hands at the flick of a wrist. She’s seen squaring up to mythological enemies, including the mighty Medusa, ready to blast them with her heat-inducing powers, whilst enveloped in a blanket of flames.
To commemorate this collaboration, Codemasters and FRONT have released three official wallpapers of this momentous photoshoot. Available from http://community.rise-of-the-argonauts.co.uk/, they are best viewed on a large screen with the lights down low.
Eidos Interactive, creator of some of the world’s leading videogame properties, today announces a return to the war-torn jungles of Vietnam in Shellshock 2: Blood Trails, a brutal and twisted psychological first person shooter, coming to disturb your Christmas.
At the height of the Vietnam War, a covert ops cargo plane carrying a top-secret consignment known only as ‘Whiteknight’ is lost over the deepest, uncharted jungles. Special Ops soldiers are immediately dispatched to the scene to retrieve the top secret shipment and one-by-one they disappear without a trace… until one month later, one of them suddenly walks out of the jungle.
Crazed and deranged, something in the jungle had ripped out his humanity, poisoning his soul. Something in the darkness had driven him mad….and followed him out.

My God, Spongebob Squarepants rocks. Witness him in all his hard rockin’ glory in these most excellent video clips which have to be seen (and heard!) to be believed!
Warriors, huh, yeah…what are they good for? Well, as it happens, quite a lot!
The ‘Warriors’ series of games, you either love ‘em or hate ‘em, which makes them a bit like Marmite, although I wouldn’t be surprised if this game tastes better than Marmite!
Those who love the series are almost certainly going to buy this game regardless of what I say on the matter, and you should, if you love this type of game then this is a must-have title for you as it takes the ingredients of the original Warriors Orochi game and adds a little bit extra for good measure.
Why oh why oh why do I feel drawn to every single new Tamagotchi that comes out? I think I’m actually secretly a 12-year-old Japanese girl or something. In fact, just today I was actually excitedto hear that the mighty Tamagotchi is now going colour (pictured above), and will be retailing for a rumoured $50 or so.
I’ll try not to buy one, because I know damn well that it’ll just end up on the pile with all the other long-dead Tamagotchis.
Hasbro are renowned for making great toys and they are also known for producing merchandise which ties in with films and video games. Keep in mind that this lightsaber is a toy, to most of you this statement might seem an obvious one but I feel the need to bring it up as there are some comments on the net which describe this item as poor in comparison to replica lightsabers. To compare this toy with a replica is ridiculous so I will not be doing that.
It seems that Activision are not content with just guitars and DJ’s for their rhythm gaming fans, as they have gone and trademarked the name ‘Dance Hero’. Of course, companies often trademark names and never use them just to stop competitors leeching off the success of their titles, but given the recent success of the genre and seeing as Activision don’t have anything out there to compete with Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution it really wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to me if this was real.
There is no escaping the fact that this game is predominantly aimed at kids. Kids will absolutely love this game and for this reason I will aim this review at those who will actually go out and buy the game, the grown ups. If you do have a kid, buy this game, it’s as simple as that.
If you don’t have any kids then you’re probably sitting there just now hoping that I’ll let you in on a little secret, and tell you that the game is actually meant to be played by adults, providing you with an excuse to rush out and buy this game, because deep down you know you want to!
Don’t worry, while you will look silly standing in front of your TV waving your arms around, and trust me, you will, the only justification you need to buy this game is that it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
