Miniscule Everun Note Gives Asus’s EeePC A Run For Its Money

Say hello to the Raon Everun Note. It’s a 7″ UMPC/mini-netbook/micro-note, which features a built-in SIM slot for 3G access as well as the expected bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity options. It’s pictured above next to the already surprisingly tiny 10″ EeePC.
This Windows XP-based system is no toy, however, packing a 1.2GHz AMD Turion processor, 1GB RAM, and the option of either a 16GB SSD or a traditional 80GB HDD. The little nipple you see at the front is an optical pointing device, and the thing even features an ATI Radeon RS690E graphics chipset.

It also features 2 USB 2.0 ports, SD and SIM card slots, headphone and microphone sockets, and a breakout box with an ethernet connector. This small external unit also doubles as the battery charger. To top it all off, that little round dot you see towards the right of the screen hinge is actually a 1.3MP webcam.
The battery is expected to last around 2.5 – 3 hours when accessing the internet wirelessly, and the system’s dimensions are 200 x 118 x 27.5mm. (7.8 x 4.6 x 1in), weighing in at a respectable 742g. It’ll be available very soon for the equivalent of around $900USD in Korea, however there is no info on a release for the rest of the world just yet.
