Video: Wholesome Christian Racing Fun… Or Very Bad Trip?
Author: Rees | Date: September 8, 2008Believe it or not this video is advertising a Christian-themed racing game called Zoo Race. It features some people in a library who get turned into animals, fired out of cannons, and then go to some kind of messed up Christian animal rave type thing.
The video is like some kind of furry fantasy mixed with a very bad batch of shrooms, and I imagine that the game itself is more of the same. Those Christians get to have all the fun!
After laughing and teasing her friend Rueben about believing in the Noah’s Ark story, then Hannah the librarian has a dream about it. In her dream, her friends are re-shaped into animals and she herself changes into a racehorse and participates in the race “Games of Celebration” after the world flood. But, unknown to everyone, Noah’s sons have created a lot of obstacles on the racetrack for the creatures. These obstacles on the racetrack slow down the participants and include hurdles, glass mazes, Piranha fish, fire geysers, exploding barrels, rockets, cannons, bomber planes and more! “Let’s give them a real race, ha-ha!” said Japeth. “Yes and let’s have some fun!” said Shem and Ham, so beware, because this race is so very different.
The full version includes 8 unique racetracks and also 8 different players to play as. Each player has his or her own strengths and weaknesses. There are also 11 original songs on the soundtrack. The full version sells for $17.77.
There’s even a soundtrack album available! If only any of us here at TTB had the balls to request a review copy…

Can the Christians not afford a decent animator? I’m always a fan of gameplay over graphics but this makes duke 3d graphics look good!
A couple of questions i have for the makers… Why is the horse bigger than the Rhino? If its set in the time of Noah why are there things that didn’t exist back then like steel bridges, chain link fences and cannons?
Is this game supposed to make me see the error of my ways and start going to church on a sunday? Well its failed!
Horses were bigger than rhinos back then. But then the rhinos evol…
Oh, wait.
The voice acting in this video clip is amazing.
Isn’t it just.
Why yes, I think you will find that it is.
*extended silence*
I hope nobody bought this shambles.
Me too.
…Was that real? Seriously? Was that piece of junk actually made? I can write a script better than that… My college-level friends can do better animation than that… My little brother’s band can write more fluid lyrics than that… I am a Christian, and I personally don’t have a problem with a lot of the games out on the market. It’s what the public wants, and even I enjoy playing stuff like Rock Band or Elder Scrolls 4. But when people start making so-called “Christian-based” games, they never seem to have any idea what they’re doing. It doesn’t look fun, sound fun, or anything! Are the creators of this game non-Christians trying to make it sound like their image of Christians? Are the creators of this game competent?
I’m going to stop ranting about this now. I could go on far too long…
Hi,
the zoo race was a dream by an un-believing librarian “Hannah”. i mix humor with religion, so i hope you enjoyed it.
