XBLA Duke Nukem 3D gets release date
Author: Vince | Date: September 14, 2008
Yep the long awaited Duke Nukem game has finally got a release date, no not Duke Nukem Forever, but the XBLA version of the classic Duke Nukem 3D. Game trailers TV announced yesterday that the game is due to hit the marketplace on Wednesday 24th September, yes that is less than 2 weeks away!
The XBLA version is in most ways a loving port of the PC version with a few new twists, DN3DXBLA will include a Braid-esque time rewind feature when you die rather than making you rely on countless save files and the game will also include 8 player co-op and deathDukematch over XBL. It will also include the 4th chapter added with the Plutonium Pak/Atomic edition on the PC, meaning there is a total of 39 levels to relive the Duke Nukem madness on.
No word on pricing yet, hopefully we’ll only be looking at 800 points, but given some of the prices on recent XBLA title I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more.

Any idea if the dukematch can be played system link with 4 players per box?
We may be having dn3d night round mine if it does!
Even if we need 4 boxes, I’m sure my uberbroadband can cope with the strains of 4 DN3D connections!
