Check out this tiny little Macbook Netbook, which features a 10″ backlit TFT screen, 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM, and an 80GB HDD. It’s available from a retailer near you for as little as around $399 (£330 in the UK), and dual-boots Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 and Windows XP.
If this all sounds too good to be true, that would probably be because it is. You see, this is actually an MSI Wind (well, actually an Akoya-badged version), modded with a very convincing LED-backlit Apple logo by by an intrepid German modder known only as Florian. The logo was cut by hand with a Dremel and finished off with a file, and is illuminated by 6 SMD LEDs which are powered from the USB.

It’s already known that the Wind is pretty much perfect when it comes to OS X support, so if you really, really must use it on the go, you could do a lot worse than to snap one of these wee beauties up. You could even follow Florian’s lead and make it look the part, too!
