New Xbox Experience Release Date Revealed: Arriving Nov 19th
Author: Rees | Date: October 9, 2008
The highly anticipated new Dashboard enhancement for the XBox 360, known as the New Xbox Experience (or NXE for short) has now been given an official release date. From Major Nelson’s blog:
John Schappert, Corporate Vice President of Xbox LIVE, Services and Software, announced today during his Tokyo Game Show keynote that the New Xbox Experience will ship to Xbox 360′s around the world (in 26 countries, localized in 11 languages) on November 19th 2008.
Personally, I think that ditching the slow, hard-to-navigate, and ugly dashboard that the 360 currently has can only be a good thing. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the NXE is actually that much better – at least it’s only 5 weeks away now!
