Video: R-Type Dimensions Brings R-Type I & II To XBLA In Style
Author: Rees | Date: October 9, 2008Classic games with “updated graphics” ..? Meh. But this is truly a thing of beauty, with the optional realtime 3D generation system looking top-notch, I’m pretty sure that even die hard fans of the classic sidescrolling shooter series R-Type can forgive the game’s developers for the small amount of “modernisation” in this release.
OK, so the “arcade mode” looks a bit crap, but the co-operative play is a big plus. I’m still approaching this one with trepidation, but it looks like it should be a pretty awesome release. Plus, it’s R-Type! And it’s out on Xbox Live Arcade before the end of the year!
