‘PopStar Guitar’ Controller Revealed… It’s, Er, Lovely…

MTV Multiplayer’s Patrick Klepek managed to get his hands on the PopStar Guitar (pics, video) controller grip, and gives us his impressions. For those not in the know, the slip on “sheath” is known as the AirG, and turns four of the buttons on the WiiMote’s face into big chunky coloured buttons, in the time-honoured Guitar Hero / Rock Band style.
So, how did Klepek find the controller?
I played with the uncomfortable-to-hold peripheral yesterday during a hotel room demo of “PopStar Guitar.” The game’s PR reps had no problem with it, though, so maybe I was holding it wrong. I just couldn’t hit the buttons right.
Sounds, er, promising…
Plus, what’s with hotel room demo? Seedy stuff.
