Video: Gears of War 2 Leaked Boss Battle

This shaky cameraphone footage, taken from an early press copy, shows off one of the bosses you’ll be facing in the upcoming Xbox 360 game Gears of War 2, releasing on November 7th.

* Spoiler Alert! *

For those who can’t wait just over a week, the video shows off some kind of tentacled water beast attacking Marcus Fenix while he’s trapped on a raft of some kind. The beast is weakened by multiple chainsaw attacks to its vulnerable tentacles, and finally rises to the surface for an epic face-to-face battle.

Where this boss appears in the game remains to be seen, but it looks like it’s going to be pretty hardcore even by Gears standards. Hopefully we’ll have some more (less spoileriffic) footage from tomorrow’s Eurogamer Expo for everyone to enjoy, so stay tuned!
