RACE Pro – Road America Screenshots

Atari have released some new screenshots from their upcoming ‘Forza-alike’ RACE Pro detailing the Road America circuit.
Scheduled for release in January exclusively on Xbox 360 RACE Pro features officially licenced FIA championships ranging from the WTCC series all the way down to Formula 3000 and Formula BMW, in addition to plenty of unofficial championships, and with over 300 models there is no shortage of cars to choose from while you blast around tracks such as Brands Hatch, Road America, Leguna Seca, Macau and many more!
Screenshots and pack shot after the break.

I was wondering why most of the shots don’t seem to have any cars in them, although looking at the third screenshot I begin the realise why… It’s odd that game designers can make the tracks look incredible and the cars look real (if you squint a little bit), but not when the two combine.
It’s not just Atari of course – most modern racing games seem to suffer the almost bluescreen-ish problems with cars contrasting against their surroundings. Only DIRT has managed to come close so far, in my (not so humble) opinion.
Anyway, besides all that this looks like a very promising game with loads of different classes, cars and tracks to choose from… Even if the official website says the DBR9 came 2nd in the GT1 class at Le Mans.
We all know who that was!
