Gran Turismo is one of Sony’s key franchises for its Playstation brand, but somehow after being on the market for 2 years the only GT game to make its way to the PS3 so far is the severely limited Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. There have been plenty of rumours regarding the release date of the full Gran Turismo 5, with game creator Kazunori Yamauchieven saying that the game “might not even roll out before 2010,”.

The story in question was regarding Sony’s reduction of their predicted growth in Spain, but at the end of the article they claim that James Armstrong, chief executive for SCEE, drops the release window for GT5:-
“For next year, the chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment for southern Europe said that they are developing a new game thriller, in which the player may be designing their own history, and the new version of Gran Turismo, which will at Christmas.”
