ZX81 PC Casemod Is Tiny, Old-Skool

Check out this Pico-ITX based PC, carefully crammed into an old Sinclair ZX81 case by a Flickr user known as Unravelled. The system can dual boot between Windows XP and Ubuntu, and to be honest, I think the only way this could be any cooler is if that lovely plastic keyboard actually worked.

Unfortunately it doesn’t, but that doesn’t stop this marvel of miniaturisation from being the ultimate retro gaming machine. Stick a copy of XTender on there and you’d be set!

With the rise of modern hgh definition screens with HDMI / VGA inputs, it’s surprising that these all-in-one machines that were so popular in the 80s an d early 90s don’t make a comeback. Perhaps this will be the start of some kind of retro revolution?
