Microsoft to Open its Own Branded Stores
Author: Vince | Date: February 13, 2009
Microsoft look set to take a page out of Apple’s book (again?) by opening their own chain of branded stores to further push their wares in an ever crowding marketplace. There is no details yet as to where these stores will be, how many there will be or even what they will sell, but a safe bet would say that Zune’s, 360′s, MS software and peripherals will all be in there somewhere. Microsoft have pilfered former DreamWorks executive David Porter to be their ‘vice president of retail stores’ and to head up the operation.

Microsoft kind of has a nerdy image, I don’t know how this will play out.
