King of Fighters, my favorite 2d fighter after the Street Fighter series, is due to get its 12th iteration later this year with the release of King of Fighters 12 on Xbox 360 and PS3 in July and in Japanese arcades this month.  The game will retain the series trademark 3 vs 3 format and will feature 20 stunningly beautiful, completely hand drawn characters from the series and SNK’s history.

In preparation for the big launch, SNK have launched a new website for the game at www.kingoffighters12.co.uk which currently only offers a preview of the game and some wallpapers, but will be updated with more content as the release date draws nearer.
