Banjo-Tooie Priced & Dated for XBLA
Author: Vince | Date: April 16, 2009
Following on from the release of the original Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA last December, the guys over at Rare have now spilled the beans about the sequel, Banjo-Tooie. Set for release on April 29th on Xbox Live Marketplace at a cost of 1200
.
Originally released back in 2000 on the N64, Banjo-Tooie sees our heroes (Banjo & Kazooie) reunited to once more put a stop to the evil Gruntilda Winkybunion and her plan to suck the life out of the entire island. The game will feature the original ‘Stop & Swop‘ function that was removed from the N64 original due to changes in the hardware rendering the feature useless (unless you could swap over 2 cartridges in under a second!). There has been no mention of ‘Bottles Revenge‘ mode however, which was also originally set for inclusion in the original N64 version and was canned at the last minute. Bottles Revenge puts you in control of an undead version of Bottles the Mole, with the ability to control any of the bad guys on screen in order to stop Banjo & Kazooie from completing their quest. If it’s not included on release I can see some DLC on the horizon if the game is a success!
