Win Banjo-Kazooie Stuff – Enter Our Uber Xbox 360 Giveaway! *Closed*

Author: Rees | Date: April 18, 2009

Update: This competition is now closed! Keep checking back for more competitions in future!

As you may have heard, Banjo-Tooie is coming to XBLA soon, and thanks to our good buddies at RARE we have a big haul of Banjo-Kazooie prizes to give away in celebration. That’s right, all this could be yours, completely free, just by entering our competition!

Here’s what we have to give away:

  • The original Banjo-Kazooie (Xbox Live Arcade release). This is the recent update of the critically acclaimed top-selling N64 action platformer, featuring updated graphics and achievements. Released in December 2008, the game also allows certain in-game items to be used in the Xbox 360 exclusive Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts – which we’re also giving away!
  • Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts was released in November 2008 and is a vehicle-centric 3D action platformer game. We played this game at Eurogamer last year and it was a ton of fun, and the integration with the original Banjo-Kazooie just makes it even better! This is a brand new copy of the full retail game.
  • Finally, we have LOG’s Lost Challenges, a downloadable challenge pack for Nuts & Bolts. Released a few weeks back, the DLC adds multiplayer modes, challenges, and 250 potential achievement points for you to have a crack at.

Whew! That’s quite a haul, I’m sure you’ll agree. Not only that, but we have two of everything to give away, so two lucky winners will get their hands on everything you see listed above. All you need to do is comment below telling us why you think you should win – the winner will be the funniest and/or cleverest answer. In the event of no funny or clever answers being submitted, the winner will be picked at random. Please be sure to enter a valid email address as this is how we will contact the winners (email addresses and other personal details will never be displayed on the site).

Make sure you get your entries in by April 29th, the release date for Banjo-Tooie on XBLA… And keep your eyes open for a Viva Pinata competition coming soon!

-

Terms & Conditions:

This competition is open to anyone and everyone*, no matter where in the world you live. Please note that the games listed are for the European/British (PAL) version of the Xbox 360 console, so please check your region first – there are no refunds or alternative prizes offered if the games will not work in your region, or are unwanted for any other reason. Please note that the prizes are delivered as a bundle (2x DLC codes and 1x boxed game per winner) and will not be split.

Banjo-Kazooie and the LOG’s Lost Challenges DLC will be delivered by email in the form of downloadable codes which can be redeemed via the Xbox Dashboard. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts will be delivered by post. Deadline for entries is April 29th, 2009. Winners chosen will be at the discretion of Team Teabag’s editorial staff. Winners will be notified by email by April 31st and an announcement will also be made via this website.

* …except employees of Team Teabag, Rare and Microsoft, and their families and friends. Sorry!

Hi Don,

Sorry if we didn’t give enough information. We’re predominantly a gaming site so assume that everyone knows about all this stuff in great detail, but we’re getting a lot of traffic on this one from “normal” non-gaming enthusiast types, so I’ll give a better explanantion here. I appreciate that not everyone is as big a nerd as we are ;)

The games that are up for grabs are:

Banjo-Kazooie. This is a game that was originally released on the Nintendo N64 console back in 1998. It’s recently been re-released for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as a downloadable game. The game features Banjo, a bear, and Kazooie, a bird, as the two main characters (hence the weird name!). It’s a platform game, which involves lots of jumping around, collecting things, and completing puzzles. Click here for some more information.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. This is the latest game in the same series and is a full retail game for the Xbox 360 (not a downloadable game – you can go down to a shop and buy it in a proper box). It’s main feature is a vehicle creator which allows players to create their own weird and wacky vehicles to use to complete the game’s missions. More information here

LOG’s Lost Challenges DLC for Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. A pack of extra missions and features for the above game.

I hope that clears it up for everyone. Thanks for all the interest in this, and we have a few more competitions in the pipeline so don’t go away!

This sounds like a great deal, I wouldn’t want to pass this one up. I just rented Nuts and Bolts yesterday and so far, I love the game! It would be great to win this set because at some point, I will have to return the game :( BTW, I love the work you guys are doing here on Team Teabag. Keep it up!

Thanks for your consideration!

Wow, what a great contest, I’d hate to pass this one up. I just rented Nuts and Bolts yesterday and so far, I LOVE the game! At some point I’m going to have to return the game so that’s a little disappointing. It would be really great to win this neat package so I can continue playing the game. BTW I love what you guys are doing here on Team Teabag. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the consideration.

What? You are giving away Banjo & Kazooie merchandise? Whatever happened to Gruntilda Winkybunion’s products eh?
Winkie’s Wobbling Waxed Warts spring to mind (nerds can’t get enough of ‘em) or my….I mean her Warped Wombat hair pieces (attractive on any man I’ll have you know).
Team teabag, shmeebag! Get your act together chaps and offer up some quality products, ahem, Banjo and Kazooie are not Nintendo’s only celebrities, however, I will accept your ‘prize’ as compensation for hurt feelings on my part, Yours Forever, Grunty

I remember Banjo and Kazooie on the N64,
Collecting all the Jiggys to get the highest score,
Saving Tooty was the aim of the game,
But getting 100 Jiggys was the real claim to fame,
Grunty with her game show did their best to knock me out,
But I was mates with Mumbo; that gave me the clout,
Bottles did annoy me – this I must admit,
And I often yearned to give him a Wonderwing hit,
But he only tried to assist you in your quest,
The irritating little rodent did his level best,
It was massive on the 64 – on the 360 it’ll be jumbo,
So accept my little rhyme and let me play again with Mumbo!

Hey!

I think I should win, because I never could enjoy these games! From all what I heard about them, from friends or in the internet, it’s just a brilliant series. And I guess there’s no other game, that got such a big hype as Banjo-Kazooie with the Stop’n'Swop feature. ;)
I’d go mad if I’d win. =’)

I think I deserve the prize because a couple of weeks ago, I called up Rare to discuss with them the secret of Stop ‘N’ Swop. I’ll let you listen to the call and get your opinion on how funny/interesting it is:

http://www.mediafire.com/?w4wdaah5yzz

There’s the download link. Enjoy!

Also, if they do give me that free download code for Tooie, I won’t be able to reap the benefits of Stop ‘N’ Swop without the original Banjo-Kazooie on my Live! That would suck majorly.

Thanks bro.

I’ve never played any of the banjo games… The resulting constant mockery by family and friends has reduced me over the years to this shallow, failure of a man, as I do nothing but browse the web all day trying to win free swag to compensate.

So… yeah, this would be nice…

Well think I should win this great pack because I’ve always been a fan of Banjo and Kazooie, I’ve every game for the N64, and recently purchased the game from the UK since It isn’t available in my home country (Portugal), and since I cannot afford the DLC or the Arcade games, I think this should be a big opportunity to win something for once in my life.

My brother has a ps3 and i have to ‘bargain’ with him to be allowed a go on it! For example if I want half an hour on Little Big Planet (my fave game at the mo) I have to agree to play something horribly boyish such as Call of Duty for an hour first!!! Its true torture!Sometimes I even have to play real life army games to earn my turn! Not what a teenage girl wants to do in her spare time. If I were to win this it would be serious payback time!Pleeeeaaase pick me x

I think I should win because I seriously need cheering up. I had an accident on a trampolene o Easter Sunday and I have had to remain on the sofa with my leg in plaster ever since. I wouldnt mind but we were staying with y parents at the time – my Dad can`t drive so I had to pay £97 for a taxi from Frinton On Sea to Bromley – a new game may convince me that `something good comes out of every situation` and stop me from becoming bitter and twisted – or more bitter and twisted tan I already am! lo

Why I want to win?

Come on I’m from Germany and I think the British own us something for being able to come every year to the Oktoberfest (and to forget the rainy weather) ;)

Nah just kidding, but you got to agree it’s a nice argument (and a hell of a nice festival) :)

So if I win, call me back in september (it’s in september although it’s called Oktoberfest) and I’ll pay you a beer in return

(sorry for my vocabulary/grammar or any other faults)

greetings from Munich

I would love a copy of Banjo
so help me out with it please
I get confused with jiggys and jinjo’s
I’m sure if I played it would ease

I’ve not got my own wrench
or a mumbo motors car
But if I could be Lord of the game
I’m sure that I would go far.

My sister is frightfully witchy
she steals all my computer games
I don’t want to come over all bitchy
but she’s driving me slightly insane

So help me out here TEAM TEABAG
and save me from an awful fate
my sister is a terrible hag
and to win would be just great!
