A Team Fortress 2 MMO? Valve Would Like You To Think So

Anyone out there that owns Team Fortress 2 on the PC may have noticed that Steam downloaded an update for the game a few days back. The update adds the much fabled 50 slot backback and headwear slot which has led to numerous TF2MMORPG jokes across the internet and it seems Valve have picked up on this. The code monkeys have been hard at work picking the update apart and discovered the following few lines of code buried deep inside:-
//TF2 MMO
“TF_MMO_LFG” “Looking For Group”
“TF_MMO_Quest1″ “You must kill %s1 %s2 to complete this quest.”
“TF_MMO_Monster1″ “Boars”
“TF_MMO_Monster2″ “Rats”
“TF_MMO_Monster3″ “Bats”
“TF_MMO_Monster4″ “Wolves”
“TF_MMO_Monster5″ “Spiders”
Whilst there is no real proof to say we won’t see some sort of TF MMO in the future, I can’t help but think that this is just Valve fanning the flames for their own amusement.
