Boxart: Halo 3, NES Style
Author: Vince | Date: May 11, 2009Way back in the heady days of 1987 video game budgets were a lot tighter and so often the box art for the games left a lot to be desired, take the original Mega Man for example or Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf (what a name!), both examples of the high standards back in the day. With this in mind Gamespy decided to give the Halo 3 artwork a 1987 makeover with the results you see above.

Pretty craptaculor really, imagine if the game had released with that cover, or better yet that it reflected the in-game graphics. Master Chief would be like an armour clad Quasimodo with elephant legs and the Warthogs would struggle to go anywhere in a straight line thanks to their far from round or level wheels… Although that could actually be quite amusing.
