Wolfenstein 3D Coming To XBLA

Not particularly surprising news really considering the recent iPhone release, however it’s always good to have some “official” confirmation. Microsoft have just put up a (pretty bare-looking) page for Wolfenstein 3D, and while it doesn’t have too many real details, it does at least confirm that XBLA will be getting this historic gem of a shooter sometime soon.
Wolf3D started me on a lifelong love of shooters, so it’s great to see that the classic id game is getting lots of love just lately. Lets just hope they don’t screw it up – achievements would be cool (the game’s many and various secret areas spring to mind) but tacked-on multiplayer (unlikely as the game is listed as “1 player” currently) and “updated” graphics (1080i support!?) might not be.
Still, let’s not get too upset about it just yet. Original Wolf3D, 400 points, give it to me now.
