Aliens vs Predator, More Screens, More Details!
Author: Vince | Date: May 20, 2009As promised, we are back with more information on Sega’s new Alien vs Predator game that is coming early 2010 for PC, 360 & PS3. The game is being developed by the team responsible for not only the classic 1999 PC AvP game, but also the completely overlooked and forgotten 1994 incarnation for the ill-fated Atari Jaguar. Just like the Jaguar version the latest installment in the franchise allows you to choose between playing as an Alien, a Colonial Marine or a Predator, each with its own distinct storyline, tactics and weapons. The game will feature a 3-way multiplayer mode which will pit the 3 forces against each other in the ultimate battle for survival.
Set on planet BG-386, the games back story involves a colonist mining group discovering an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy. Which if I am not mistaken is pretty much the storyline of the first AvP film, with the exception that it is not set on earth this time round.
More screens and information regarding the story for each of the games 3 forces after the break.
Marine

The Marine’s story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanity’s last stand with the firepower to fight back.
Alien
As the Alien, you will discover what it’s like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
Predator
A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.
