Episodic Day of the Tentacle ‘Feasible’ Says Telltale CEO

Day of the Tentacle

Telltale Games have single handedly revived the long dead ‘point & click adventure’ genre in recent times with their new takes on classic franchises such as Sam & Max and the upcoming Tales of Monkey Island in addition to new titles like the Wallace & Gromit series, but there is one ip still missing from their portfolio before they can claim to have all of the classic adventure games under their belt, Lucasarts Day of the Tentacle.

Lucasarts themselves have said that if the demand (and sales) is there then they will look into remaking other games from their archives, but Videogamer.com recently grabbed a word with Telltale CEO Dan Conners to see if they had any plans for DotT or any other Lucasarts point & clicks and he gave this rather hopeful answer:-

“We’ll see. It all depends on how it goes. Hopefully it works out for both companies and it just is a no-brainer to keep adding the franchises on.”

When asked if Day of the Tentacle was feasible, Connors replied: “I would say feasible is a good word.”

“To me I always think of the big three as, and maybe it’s just because of when I was playing and when I was first starting at LucasArts, I always think of Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island as the big three franchises,” Connors told us. “Having access to Steve and access to Dave Grossman and everything else… I really love Day of the Tentacle.

So here’s hoping that we will be getting some new Day of the Tentacle loving sometime soon.

I wonder if anybody asked him about Loom?
