Yo Dawg, I Heard You Like Java…

Quite. But this project from Oxford University is pretty impressive (when it’s working) – designed and built by their very own Interdisciplinary Grid Development (IGD) group, JPC is an entirely Java-based x86 emulator which runs in your browser! It can run classic DOOM, a Linux desktop environment based on Damn Small Linux, and anything else you care to think of. It was designed so that the university’s physicists can research new ways to process all their data.

OK, so the joke was gonna be:
“Yo dawg, I heard you like browsers, so I put an browser in your browser so you can browse as you browse.”
But it was broke. So you get the lame substitute above instead.
