Lucasarts are about to return to the spotlight when the Telltale Games produced, brand new episodic game Tales of Monkey Island is released on PC tomorrow, which will be followed by Lucas’ own The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition on XBLA next Wednesday. As if that was not enough, today it was announced that as of Wednesday 8th July Lucasarts will be re-releasing titles from their extensive back catalogue of PC classics over Valve’s Steam distribution service.
There will be 10 games released in the first batch including The Dig, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Star Wars: Battlefront II and the legendary point & click adventure Loom. Fear not Day of the Tentacle & Grim Fandango fans, as we have been promised more titles in time as these initial releases are only the start of a hopefully long & prosperous new partnership between the 2 companies.
See the full list of 10 games after the break.
