Get Your Bits Out This Week On WiiWare – ‘Bit Boy!!’ Screenshots!
Author: Rees | Date: July 16, 2009A good buddy and legendary DJ friend of mine (you know who you are) showed me this most excellent looking game yesterday. It’s called Bit Boy!! and is currently 600 points on WiiWare. The game’s unique twist is that it takes players on a journey from the heady days of 4-bit gaming all the way up to the modern day – and quite how this piece of gaming genius managed to slip under our gaming radar is beyond me.
The main character is a cube called Kubi, who (along with the game’s levels) evolves to become more technically advanced, with more colours and eventually 3D graphics, as the game progresses. It’s the perfect introduction to the history of gaming for the young ‘uns, or just a massive nostalgia-fest for the oldies like me. Fortunately for the rest of you I had a dig around on one of our super secret press sites and lo and behold there were screenshots, so here they are!
Once the batteries for my Wii remotes are charged up I’ll definitely be checking this game out.
Stay tuned…
