Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition Will Be HMV Exclusive in the UK

If you haven’t heard about the ‘Prestige Edition’ of the next Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2, then I have one question for you, what rock have you been living under? It will include a hardbound art book entitled “Behind The Lines”, a redeem code for the original Call of Duty via XBLA/PSN, a steelbook case for the game, a pair of working night vision goggles along with a lovely bust of a head to model them on!
When the announcement was made last week we were only told that it would be exclusive to Gamestop in the States, no mention of how we can get it this side of the pond. Well, all is now revealed as the Prestige Edition will be available exclusively from HMV at the hefty price of £129.99. You also get double points for HMV’s PureHMV reward scheme with any pre-order of Modern Warfare 2 meaning with the Prestige Edition you get a whopping 25998 points, enough for this lovely Codemasters paperweight…
Of course if you are not prepared to fork out that much for a game then you can get the standard edition of the game or the ‘Hardened Edition’ which will contain everything that the Prestige Edition does just without the goggles or bust.

If the night vision goggles actually work then that is a bargain. Your getting the goggles for about £60 when you compare the price to the other limited edition version.
I’m guessing they won’t be proper night vision goggles, just a low light monocular which sound good but need more ambient light to work than the true night vision goggles. No use for being a peeping tom, there will still be enough light for them to see you lurking behind the bush.
OMG the website is only displaying the standard editions!
