Tales of Monkey Island: Episode 2 Dated, Lands August 20th

Author: Rees | Date: August 8, 2009

tales-of-monkey-island-07

We loved The Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, the first episode of the new episodic Monkey Island game, rather a lot. If the first episode is anything to go by, the Tales of Monkey Island series is going to be pretty sweet, and I’m sure everyone will be pleased to hear that the wait for Episode 2 won’t be all that long at all – it’s out in less than two weeks.

Valve could learn a thing or two from Telltale!

The episode will be known as The Siege of Spinner Cay, and no other detail sabout the game’s plot have been released. It doesn’t take a genius to work out, however, that the game will more than likely take place on Gelato Island where the first episode left off.

See you there!

I think it will be on Spinner Cay this episode (seeing as a cay is an island, and that’s what the episode is named after :P ). Gelato seems to be the proverbial Monkey Island, in that they’re always talking about it but we don’t get to see it until the end of the game.

You think? Hmm…

That’s a good theory actually – I assumed that as the Screaming Narwhal set off for Gelato Island at the end of Ep1 that that’s where we’d be. Of course, the ship could’ve been blown off course or something could happen right at the beginning of Ep2 which ends up redirecting Guybrish to Spinner Cay instead.

I hadn’t spotted that it was the name of an island. And I call myself a Monkey Island fan!
