Johnny Cash, Shirley Manson & You Confirmed as Playable in GH5

Following on from the announcement that guitar legend Carlos Sanata will be an unlockable character in Guitar Hero 5, Activision have now announced that the man in black himself Johnny Cash will also be an unlockable character along with Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson. On top of that you will also be able to use your own avatar in the game on Xbox 360, which is a pretty nice touch.

All of these characters were mentioned in the rumoured list that Joystiq posted a while back along with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Matt Bellamy of Muse, so we’ll see in the next few weeks if they are true.
