Sega Want You To Choose Their Next XBLA Title [Updated]
Author: Vince | Date: August 18, 2009
The Sega Megadrive, or Genesis to you yanks, turned 20 this week and to celebrate Sega have thrown open a poll so you can choose which classic 16-bit title will get the XBLA treatment next. Your choices are:-
- Earthworm Jim
- Golden Axe II
- Shining Force
- Revenge of Shinobi
- Streets of Rage
- Toejam & Earl
- Wonderboy
All you need to do to have your say is visit the official site here and cast your vote. You can vote once per day until August 21st, but looking at it right now I doubt anything will topple Earthworm Jim with its 46% of the votes, which is a shame because I’d much prefer either Shining Force or Toejam & Earl… Maybe next time!
***Update***
Due to a new licencing agreement between Interplay and Gameloft to resurrect the Earthworm Jim franchise Sega are no longer able to offer the game for XBLA, so the vote has been reset and will continue with the game. The closing date has not changed, so you still only have until Friday to get your votes in and try and get Shining Force where it belongs!
Toejam and Earl is now looking favorite to win currently with 38% of the votes with the original Streets of Rage second on 19%.
