Author: Vince | Date: August 23, 2009
When it was announced that the US would get a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen with pre-orders of Guitar Hero 5 us Brits let out a sigh and uttered the usual ‘US only again…’. Well, good news as Activision have announced that for those that pre-order the GH5 guitar bundle in blighty will get a free copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour too. Initially this deal was reported as exclusive to Amazon, but a quick check of the net reveals that all retailers apart from Gamestation are offering the deal, but at differing prices.
- Amazon.co.uk – £69.95
- HMV – £79.99
- Play.com – £69.99
- Game – £69.99, with exclusive guitar controller and 2 free Rolling Stones tracks as DLC
The offer applies to all platforms, but all the bundles state this offer is ‘while stocks last’, so you may want to head over to Game.co.uk before it’s too late.
In other Guitar Hero 5 news Activision have revealed that all GH:WT DLC, bar 6 unknown tracks, will be compatible with GH5, but GH5 DLC will not be compatible with GH:WT… Fail!
