This Week in Rock Band: Talking Heads Go Underground Edition
Author: Vince | Date: August 30, 2009
It’s a British blowout for this weeks Rock Band DLC as we see tracks from Talking Heads, The Jam and Oasis hit the download store alongside tracks from US stars Rage Against The Machine and Avenged Sevenfold.
We are treated to 5 more songs from Rory Byrne’s legendary group Talking Heads to join the critically acclaimed ‘Psycho Killer’ that was included on the RB2 disc. Amongst the tracks are two of the songs that brought the band to prominence, their breakthrough single ‘Take Me to the River’ and the classic ‘Once in a Lifetime’, but no ‘Burning Down the House‘ curiously. I smell a Talking Heads Pack 02 in the distance.
Alongside Talking Heads we are treated to 2 tracks from British ‘mod‘ legends The Jam, who contribute 2 of their biggest hits to the games ever growing track listing, ‘Going Underground’ and ‘A Town Called Malice’, which will hopefully mark the start of a long a fruitful relationship. Also appearing this week is the band that is accused of ripping The Jam (and The Beatles) off, the recently disbanded Oasis who are contributing a live version of ‘Supersonic’, which originally appeared on the bands debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’.
The Talking Heads pack will be available as a bundle for 680
/$8.50, whilst all of the songs will be available individually for the usual 160
/$2 when they are released on Tuesday via Xbox Live and Thursday on PSN.
