Cave’s Epic Japanese “Bullet Hell” Shooters Escaping Japan Soon?
Author: Rees | Date: September 4, 2009I have no idea what’s going on in this video, but it pretty much sums up the madness of vertical shooter king Cave‘s arcade hit Muchi Muchi Pork (gameplay here), a game so infamous that collectors pay up to $1500 just for the arcade PCB.
We got to play it, and many games like it, at Insert Coin ’09, and I’ve been a fan of the genre ever since. So it’s good to hear that, due to crazy internet demand, Cave’s next XBLA shooter *could* be coming to America and/or Europe to join Treasure’s equally awesome Ikaruga. The name of the game is Mushi-hime sama Futari, and we’ll be finding out about global availability at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

We have received many requests from our overseas users for region-free versions of our games.“Death Smiles” was released only for Asia, but the region for “Mushi-hime sama Futari” has not been decided yet. I believe it will be decided around the time of Tokyo Game Show 2009.
We are very happy to have received so many e-mails from overseas.
Thank you.
Sounds promising. Bring on the madness!
