Pictures: Arcade Abominations – In The Name Of Education
Author: Rees | Date: September 10, 2009
There’s a whole underground community dedicated to building amd converting old arcade game to run MAME – a community that I’m very much a part of thanks to my very own VideoStar MKII project. But of course, as with all DIY jobs, sometimes enthusiasm gets the better of people and things don’t go entirely according to plan.

That’s what CrapMAME (AKA “What is this CRAP?”) is for – it’s a gallery of examples of exactly how NOT to go about building your own arcade machine. Above I’ve created some fittingly crap montages of some examples of these arcade abominations, but you should definitely click through to the site proper for many more, complete with insults, swearing, and offensive commentary.
Game on!
