Flight of the Conchords 3 Track Pack Headed to Rock Band?
Author: Vince | Date: September 22, 2009Crazy Kiwi due Flight of the Conchords missed out on an Emmy for their TV series yesterday, but did take time out on the red carpet to reveal that a 3 track pack from Brett & Jermaine will be headed to Rock Band.
When asked the guys did not know which songs would be included, but as their new album ‘I Told You I Was Freaky’ is due at the end of October it’d be a safe bet that at least one of those tracks will make it into the pack. Personally, if I got to choose I’d be putting out ‘Business Time‘, ‘Bowie‘ & ‘If You’re Into It‘ as the pack.
While it may be that the tracks are released as ‘official Harmonix DLC’, the bands record label, Sub Pop, have been very vocal in their support of the upcoming Rock Band Network feature that is due to launch later this year, so it seems almost definate that we will be able to get our fake plastic rock groove on to FotC at some point.
Of course, FotC are comedians so you have to take everything they say with a pinch on salt, and as no official word has come from Harmonix or Sub Pop confirming this this is firmly still in the rumor basket until we hear otherwise, but we have contacted representatives of both companies to see if they are willing to shed any more light on the situation. We will update this post when and if we get a reply.
