Amazon.com have released their 2009 sales figures, and they’re, er, surprising.

Not.

This top 20 list shows what we knew all along – that the world is still mad for the Nintendo Wii. In fact, the only non-Nintendo title to appear in the top 10 was the Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 in 9th place. Pretty impressive considering it was only released in November, although maybe not so much when we consider that the number 5 spot is held by another November release, New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

So without further ado, here’s that list you’ve been waiting for:

It would be good to put some actual sales figures by these numbers, so hopefully Amazon will come up with the goods at some point over the next few days. Let’s see how the next year goes for the console market- will we be seeing a PS3-dominated list in 2011?
