We really can’t get enough of geeky cakes here at TTB, so feast your eyes on this spectacular Master Chief cake made by Mike’s Amazing Cakes of Redmond, Washington. This is certainly one of the best looking cakes we have featured , the level of detail is mind blowing. It’s certainly alot better than this attempt! So funny white chef hats off to that man!

We’ve featured some absolutely stunning geeky cakes here at Team Teabag, and we love every single one of them. Trouble is, they were all made by professional cakmasters (if there is such a thing) who probably spent 7 years in various educational institutions studying the fine art of cake making or something.

That’s all well and good, but we’re also big fans of DIY here at TTB, so I went hunting on Flickr for some home-made geekcakes. These are the also-rans, the runners-up, the cakes that sum up the whole “It’s the thought that counts” approach to life. And we love them all!

It’s been a while we had a cake to add to our geeky cake gallery, and when I saw this I fell in love. I mean, it’s Portal, it’s cake, what more could you possibly want?

Flickr user freeforged had this cake ordered for her by her boyfriend, who obviously loves her very much. That, or he just loves Portal a lot and wanted it for himself, which sounds more like the kind of thing that I would do.

It was made by Candy Haven in Denton, Texas.

Wall-E Cake!

Seems that, for a film all about pollution and saving the earth, Pixar’s Wall-E sure does have a lot of merchandise. Still, at least this paticular item won’t be left to rot in a landfill somewhere if it’s anywhere near as tasty as it looks!

Tasty Tasty NES Cake

It’s been a while since we had a cake on here isn’t it? Oh, no it isn’t. Oh well.

Seems like the big trend this year is “geek cakes”, cakes of geek-tastic things like computers, games, etc. – so much so that we even have our very own gallery of them. The tasty creation you see above fits right into that category, and was made for a member of Kotaku who is leaving for a new job. On the construction of the cake, they had this to say:

“The cake is yellow, the controller is two Hershey bars with nougat between them, connected to the cake by black licorice, and the whole thing is that hard-sugar frosting.”

I’m not entirely sure what that means either, but it sure is a nice cake.

Xbox 360 Wedding Cake

You’d have to be pretty sad to have an Xbox 360 cake at your wedding… Pretty sad and pretty damn cool all at the same time. So here it is, an Xbox 360 wedding cake. What else can I say?

Well, other than making some jokes about red rings of death and maybe taking some cheap shot at the PS3. But that’s not how we roll here at TTB, so just sit there and revel in the cakey goodness.

…PS3 sucks!
