These weighted companion cube cookies, from promising-sounding new nerdy pastry blog Geekcake, are some of the tastiest looking Portal merchandise I’ve seen so far. Not only that, but they were apparently made with leftover pastry from making Battlestar Galactica cookies.

Here we have an R2-D2 cake, created by a Gizmodo reader for a Star Wars themed wedding. Yes indeed, people apparently do have such things, although God only knows why they’d want to do such a thing.
Getting married, that is.
Anyway, as we are big lovers of all things cake here at TTB I thought I should share this with everyone. This R2-D2 cake is a little bit special, however, as it’s sweet frosted goodness has been adorned with camera lenses and other such inedible tech detritus – just remember to eat around that stuff, mmmkay?

What’s That R2? You Want Me To Eat You?
But this one really takes the
biscuit, er, cake, as everyone likes a bit of Star Wars. Well, everyone except me it seems. Anyway, this creation by NYC master baker (groan) Mark Randazzo looks good enough to eat – I bet it tastes good enough to eat, too.

Finish The Cake
I just spotted this over on Kotaku, one of my favourite gaming sites. A Kotaku reader known as “Brandi” had this awesome cake made for her husband’s birthday by a local caterer.
Obviously it’s not a perfect replica (the Chief’s now sporting a rather bulbous end on the top of his helmet – ooh Matron) but considering how hard it must be to sculpt using nothing but the medium of cake, it’s quite an achievement.
Now all we need is a Portal-themed cake, or would that be a bit too obvious?
